This collection of stories includes Allen Steele's first published short story Live From The Mars Hotel. Given the references to the Grateful Dead in other books by Steele this must be a reference to the Grateful Dead album.

Live From The Mars Hotel was first published in Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction magazine in 1988.
