The Whisky River Boat Band originally came together for a canoe powered musical odyssey down the Spey River. The expedition involved the 5 piece acoustic band canoeing 65 miles down the Spey (the fastest flowing river in the UK) playing tunes and drinking whisky till they reached the North Sea. Amazingly, the band survived as did most of the instruments, the gigs were great and the craic was mighty. This is a wee recording of some of tunes they sang on the adventure.
