Dancing In The Moonlight was performed once by the Jerry Garcia / Merl Saunders band with Sara Fulcher on vocals in January 1973.

The song was written by Sherman Kelly in the late 1960's when he was a member of the group Boffalongo. This group recorded the song and released it on a single and an LP. Kelly's brother was a member of King Harvest who recorded the song in 1972. This version reached #13 in the US charts in 1973.
