Yankee Doodle
Composer: Traditional

Yankee Doodle was noodled by the Grateful Dead during tuning.

Yankee Doodle is a traditional song that is probably American in origin but the melody may have earlier British or European antecedents. The earliest American version appears to date from the 1750's.

There are many parodies of Yankee Doodle. There are also many other songs that have been inspired by or borrowed from Yankee Doodle.
