Yankee Doodle
Composer: Traditional

Yankee Doodle was noodled by the Grateful Dead during tuning.

Yankee Doodle is a traditional song that is probably American in origin but may have earlier British antecedants.

There are many parodies of Yankee Doodle. There are also many other songs that have been inspired by or borrowed from Yankee Doodle, most notably The Yankee Doodle Boy (aka Yankee Doodle Dandy). Chet Atkins' Yankee Doodle Dixie combines the music of Yankee Doodle and Dixie.
