Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah was occasionally noodled by the Grateful Dead during tuning and delays.

Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah was introduced in the 1946 Disney film Song Of The South in which it was sung by James Baskett. The song won the 1947 Best Original Song Academy award. Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah was a hit for Johnny Mercer & His Orchestra in 1947.
