Country Weather Discography

Country Weather came into existence in 1967 when the group The Virtues changed their name to Country Weather. The line-up of the band was Steve Derr (guitar, vocals), Greg Douglass (guitar, vocals), Dave Carter (bass) and Bill Baron (drums). The group played regularly at the major San Francisco venues, such as the Fillmore, Avalon Ballroom and Winterland, over the next few years but failed to sign a recording contract. A self-released 4 track promotional EP was released in 1969. Country Weather disbanded at the start of 1973. Douglass and Baron formed a group called Mistress.

Country Weather reformed in August 2000 to play a benefit concert. For this show original members Derr and Carter were joined by Graham Cooper (guitar, vocals) and Lloyd Ferris (drums). The group continued to perform after this one-off event and changed their name to Weather.

In 2005 the first Country Weather album was released comprising studio and live recordings from the 1969 to 1971 period.
