The Golliwogs Discography

The Golliwogs name was adopted by Tommy Fogerty And The Blue Velvets when they signed to Fantasy in 1964. The group name was chosen by the record company rather than the group who wanted to be called The Vissions. The members of the group were Tom Fogerty, John Fogerty, Doug Clifford and Stu Cook. Their first single was released in 1964. Two further singles were released in 1965 and three in 1966. Toward the end of 1966 John Fogerty and Doug Clifford were drafted. The band continued after their return in mid-1967 and released their final single in November that year. At the end of 1967 the group turned fully professional and changed their name to Creedence Clearwater Revival.
