Handsome Cabin Boy
Composer: Traditional

Handsome Cabin Boy was performed by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman in the 1990's. The version on the Been All Around This World album is an instrumental with the title Handsome Cabin Boy Waltz. The tune of the song was introduced by Jerry Garcia into some Grateful Dead jams.

The notes in the Shady Grove booklet credit the mandolin accompaniment (by Ralph Rinzler) on the original A.L. Lloyd version of the song, released on Blow Boys Blow, as the inspiration behind the Garcia/Grisman version
