I Know It's A Sin
Composer: Jimmy Reed / M. Reed

I Know It's A Sin was performed about a dozen times by the Grateful Dead during the 1966 to 1969 period. A jam based on I Know It's A Sin was played at one show in 1974.

The title used on Grateful Dead set lists and tapes is usually It's A Sin. However the full title on Jimmy Reed recordings is I Know It's A Sin. This title is used for the version of the song on the All Good Things box set which is a previously unreleased take from the recording sessions for the 1974 Jerry Garcia solo album, Garcia (Compliments).

On some recordings writing credits are J. Reed / M. Reed on others Jimmy Reed is credited as sole composer.
