Money (That's What I Want) was performed once by Ratdog at a Bill Clinton inauguration celebration in Washington on January 19, 1997. The song was possibly played by The Warlocks in 1965.

The song was first recorded by Barrett Strong in the Summer of 1959 and released on the Tamla label in 1960. It became the first hit record for the Berry Gordy Tamla / Motown organization. It was subsequently covered by many groups.

The song is sometimes listed as just Money on record labels, LP covers and other artifacts.
