Tico Tico
Composer: Zequinha Abreu / Aloysio Oliveira / Ervin Drake

Tico Tico was only noodled by the Grateful Dead during tuning during shows and incorporated into jams at at least one rehearsal.

Tico Tico was written in 1917 by Zequinha de Abreu. The original title of the piece was Tico Tico no Farelo. At some point lyrics, by Oliveira, were added and the title changed to Tico-Tico No Fuba. Subsequently new English lyrics by Ervin Drake were introduced in the 1940's. From that point onward most recordings use the title Tico Tico.
