The Beans

The Beans were formed by Vince Welnick, Bill Spooner, and Rick Anderson who met in Los Angeles. They returned to Phoenix where they recruited drummer Bob Macintosh possibly in 1969. Fee Waybill, originally the roadie for the group, became the singer. After joining with members of another Phoenix group (the Red White and Blues Band) the Beans became The Tubes.
