Jazz Is Dead

This page lists officially released studio or concert recordings featuring Jazz Is Dead playing Grateful Dead music.

Jazz Is Dead were formed in 1998. The original line-up was Billy Cobham, Jimmy Herring, Alphonso Johnson and T Lavitz. The group, with some personnel changes, performed and recorded through to 2006. They returned in 2015 to tour and record an album. After another break they returned to tour in 2023 with a line-up of Alphonso Johnson, Steve Kimock, Bobby Lee Rodgers and Pete Lavezolli.
