Doin' My Time was performed by Bill Kreutzmann, Steve Kimock and Mike Gordon in September 2007. It was also performed by Bill Kreutzmann, Mike Gordon and Scott Murawski in June 2009.

The song was written by Jimmie Skinner and first released by him on a 10" 78 rpm disc in 1948. It was subsequently recorded by Flatt & Scruggs and Johnny Cash and became a bluegrass / rockabilly standard.

The majority of recording use the Doin' My Time title, a few use Doing My Time.
