Blues Magoos Discography

The Blues Magoos were formed sometime in 1965 in New York City originally as Bloos Magoos. They secured a recording contract with Mercury in 1966 and recorded their first album in 1966. Two further albums and a number of singles were released in the following two years. The original group split up after the relative failure of their third LP. The lead vocalist, Peppy Castro (Emil Thielhelm), put together a new group which recorded two further albums that mixed blues, country and psychedelic influences. This group disbanded at the end of 1970.
